Let me clarify this. Presently, CDMA is used in geostationary
orbit satellites.Omnitrac's is an example. True that Globstar will
be LEO, I think something like 150 miles up. My point is that
they are and have been using CDMA for sometime, over other
media's. For the most outspoken critic, Frezza; I read
that there is a study about using CDMA in wireless LAN's.
That should make Mr. Frezza hot if that ever comes to pass.
Now, that isn't to imply that Qualcomm will benefit, God, I don't
want to start a frenzy. My longstanding point is, when someone
states that it is an unproven technology, that is a falsehood.
It's just unproven (not for long) in cellular and PCS application.
