As for as manual/hand calculation, neither gman, hawkman, or I perform hand/manual calculations most of the time. Cheif likes manual calculations. Is reasoning is that he gets a better feel for where each stock is headed and what is likely to happen to the CLX count in the near term. But neither I nor gman and hawkman have the time to crunch the numbers by hand and if we did we would have a lot more errors to resolve.

My code is a combination of Excel VBA and cell formulas. Hawkman has his all as VBA. I don't know for sure what gman has. I also have VBA code that can produce my favorite CLX plots with a daily HLC bar chart of the DJIA, SPX, or SOX aligned just above the CLX plots.
