Fred, appreciate the response. I'll turn positive when the stock price shows some sign of becoming positive on something other than a buyout rumor. After all, I'm in this game for the money, not to watch the stock price sink as it has for years. I think the smart money (no pun intended) is more skeptical than ever, and you have to admit, for good reason.
I don't consider myself a whiner, but a reasonably experienced investor, especially with this company. The question really seems to be whether or not anything has changed, other than more good products.
Most of the items I discuss are current items, not living in the past. John Young is still there, marketing dosen't seem to have changed, sales flat to down next quarter, questionable construction plans, questionable relationship with Novonyx, MSFT as a serious threat, no insiders willing to buy at these "steal" levels etc, etc. By the way, if I remember correctly, John Young had promised to retire when the new CEO came on board. Wonder what changed his mind.
Although speculating on the future is the art of the investment game, current facts should be factored into that speculation, and I don't see a lot of answers yet.
regards,
