I found it interesting that in the article I posted he referred to God as a "being" which is probably not what he meant.

People assume God has to be a "being" within our understanding of the term, but that is just an effort to make us feel good about ourselves.

I think that what he really means is that "Something" caused something else to happen, and that Something could in theory fit within the definition of the word "God."
