Okay my friend, I'm not arguing for the torture side. But their is an ocean of difference between the one entity that is able to acknowledge its transgressions to its people and another that denies it or hides it.

Also, you can't grow from wrong-doing until you've admitted you've done something wrong. All actions, good or bad, are unredeemable. We can only admit to them, try to understand them, before we can move forward in a positive way, imo.
