Ain't it wunnerful? This Orwellian Newspeak goes back a long ways...

"I am not a crook" --Nixon refrain to cover the criminal basis of his political career

"Get gov't off our backs" --Reagan/GOP refrain to cover driving gov't growth to tripling of national debt on the backs of all Americans, doubling military force onto the backs of the rest of the world.

"Kinder and gentler gov't" -- Bush Senior to cover escalating worldwide US terrorism against various helpless states, giving billions to captive mercenary groups such as Taliban. Followed by governor Bush Junior publicly mocking the condemned on radio while executing record numbers in Texas prisons.

"Compassionate conservatism" -- The Bush/GOP refrain to cover total disregard for human life in domestic and internat'l policy

Not to let the Democrats off the hook, those like M. Albright who clearly reflect the Brzezinski-Bush worldview, the Politics of Death and rich vs poor, by saying the 1/2 million dead children in Iraq were "unfortunately, worth it".

At least she said "unforunately", right? Now that's really kinder, gentler, more compassionate... If only Hitler and Stalin had just said "unfortunately" more often

It's fun to hear daily results of media analysis by listening to the keywords or "memes" issued into the media fabric. This week its "those darn Democrats are attempting class warfare".

So, using Orwell's analysis of this Newspeak we see this actually means: (a)it is class warfare, and (b)it isn't just Democrats who recognize this.
