Thread- Remember to vote NO if we ever get our proxies. I'm sure SEG management is hoping stock will run up so shareholders will be mislead, and then send out proxies. -MikeM(From Florida)

PALO ALTO, Calif., July 14 (Reuters)-- ....All that remains for Seagate to take itself private -- a transaction it announced in March and then valued at about $20 billion -- is for shareholders to approve the deal.

Under the complex [complex because we're hiding the facts] transaction, storage-software maker Veritas will buy back the 33 percent of Veritas stock that Seagate owns, in addition to buying Seagate. Veritas will then sell [should read give it away for a pittance] Seagate to Menlo Park, Calif.-based Silver Lake Ventures [should read Silver Lake Vultures] and Seagate management [should read Seagate Thiefs].
