I don't believe the murphs will even honor this last commitment.

Don,

Bravo for your insights. As far as the term "honor" Joe Murphy threw around with casual abandon, one cannot give what one has so thoroughly demonstrated they do not have.

100% true story

When I was a kid there was this older boy whom I admired. I really thought this guy was cool. One day at the local playground he asked to borrow my bike as he needed to get something at the store.

He told me if I let him take my bike he'd promise to buy me a package of orange and white Rainbow Taffy (a popular treat with kids at the time) at the store. He told me he would be right back. I was completely trusting and felt flattered this kid, I so admired, would choose my bike to use.

Well, he was gone a long time. He eventually showed up but without the taffy. When I asked him about the taffy he just laughed at me, let my bike fall to the ground and called me a sucker.

Even though that was over 40 years ago I remember the numbing disappointment of being deceived with the clarity of yesterday. It was a life lesson that came to mind with this DCTC experience. Funny how some emotions never change and some lessons take 40 years to learn.

(Not whining here. Just philosophizing.)

Onward,

George
