I'm not sure about the specifics of Citrix, but I know that they work quite closely with MSFT. APLX is working with SUNW, so we'll only see good long term results if SUNW continues to prosper in my opinion. I don't see any problems for MSFT in the near term (6-9 months) so maybe buying Citrix over APLX for that medium time frame isn't a bad idea in spite of the high valuation.
