bearish on telecom capex -- 10:39 ET Sagawa Call : Bernstein analyst Paul Sagawa currently holding a conference call in which he is very bearish on telecom capex. With regard to individual companies, likes Nokia (NOK) the best as he likes wireless and says NOK has executed better than any tech co. Says LU is close to normalized fair value at 12/13. Likes PALM due to exposure to personal tech spending. Concerned about Cisco, sees no rebound for at least 9 mos as growth drivers (carrier spending, acquisitions) are gone. NT is most exposed: 2 yr "batten down the hatch" period in which revenues decline.

10:38 ET Nasdaq Composite : -- Technical -- Fifty point run off yesterday's late low in a little over an hour of action has left traders in need of a breather. However, the pattern of the move is encouraging for the very short term. An upside extension initially points to the 2095/2100 area with gap resistance thereafter between 2118 and 2135. Intraday supports are at 2065/63 and 2057.
