If you'll recall I said about a month ago that Java was only for publicity. Now it's really true. I hope earnings are good this next quarter. I worked for Corel for all of last year and didn't get any stock options but I did believe in the company enough to put up $6000 of my own money on Corel. I've now lost more than 50%. I wish that the management would get some humility, stop living fat on the calf and have some fiscal responsibility to the share holders. I've seen them spend and spend when they could have saved hundreds of thousands of dollars to obtain the same goal. Over spending is not limited to the Government. Also realize where your cash cow is "Word Perfect" It was only 2 years ago that WP had a commanding majority of the market. I see companies changing even in Utah County (birthplace of WP), Don't just do shows, hire phone sales staff in droves even if it's only short term. Put them on commission with a base. Look at the way Megahertz set up there sales structure just before they got bought out, I worked on that marketing structure and it worked. And for Corel employees, Fight for your job, these are desperate times.

First and Fore most I want you to know I want this company to succeed if not for my friends but also for my bottom line. GO Corel. It is truly a bargain right now. But I don't expect it to move up until they move from a sell rating to at least a hold rating. And recently they were downgraded to a stronger sell. I wish i had better news.
