Some interesting names pop up as I dig deeper into Novell.... See my post on the other board re: "Embedded System Software". Yes Sun Microsystems seems to come up via Integrated Systems (INTS) a company here in Santa Clara which has partnered with Novell (7/94) and is developing NOVELL's FlexOS operating system AND more!. Also HWP, IBM amd others are working on this next generation specialized 'system' software. It is hard to say where it all leads to but there is some very interesting applications for Embedded Internet offerings utilizing Sun Microsystem's Java language. Novell's FlexOS operating system applications has an installed base of 800,000 users and it appears that SUN is targeting this 'networking' sector as a future growth market going forward. It is quite possible that both IBM and HWP see this as a new growth sector too. IBM has already developed an EPOS (Electronic Point-of-Sale) design utilizing Novell's FlexOS operating system. I have not determined if HWP has any similar integrated applications BUT it appears to me that "embedded systems technology" is just begining to emerge AND NOVELL is in the fore front. EKS
