Perth-based open air advertising company, Lumacom, has revealed that it is on the verge of signing a deal that will see them mount the world’s biggest video billboards 50 storeys above New York’s famous Times Square.

The deal will be in conjunction with Lumacom’s US joint venture partner Totius Media, and stands to net the company up to $47 million over the seven year course of the deal.

The billboards, which were designed in Perth, will be an enormous 300 square metres in size and will be visible from New Jersey to Long Island and the Statue of Liberty. The billboards will carry stationary advertising during the day and video advertising at night.
