Yeah, I saw the jump, too. Volume is not abnormal. Do you know when earnings are due for this puppy, or shall I dig for that bone? This move has the look of "somebody knows something" to it. Alas, fresh powder will not arrive until this fall (unless I do very well with what I've got left), which may be too late for this one.
If it's still attractive in a couple of months, I would call IR and get the package, and probe for the kind of news they'll release. That is, they might publish sales just every quarter as opposed to every month, for example. Would they be willing to break out sales by product line for the previous quarter? Questions like that.
If you're interested in this stock and have some money to put into it, I suggest you wrap up your due diligence and decide quickly. My feeling is that this one is starting to take off for double digits by summer's end, maybe sooner. You could call IR right now and ask if they know of any impending announcements (don't know if you'd get a straight answer, but it's worth doing just as a test of IR's reliability). Ask for an earnings release date; they should give you that within a couple of days.
