Of Troll Dolls and Other Rubber Beings...

I forgot to return with my little story about rubber dolls, etc...

Many years ago, my father went to Ireland on business and brought home a few "souvenirs"... One of these was a rubber man dressed up in a leprechaun's outfit and carrying a shelelagh (is that how you spell that thing?)... When I got it, I left it hanging up on my wall for a couple of years... Well, to make a long story short... one of my younger brothers was the type of kid who just HAD to take everything apart... In fact, this is the prime reason why I don't have much in the way of memorabilia these days... I always figure that people who have lots of "childhood stuff" must not have had a bunch of younger brothers or sisters... (well, it seems like a good theory to me)...

Goodness, I am digressing terribly.... Well, I returned home from school one day to find that the leprechaun's clothes had been rather "mysteriously" (HA!!!) cut away -- for like a true souvenir, its clothes had been "glued on" rather than properly sewn in the first place. Anyhow, the leprechaun was,...ahem....how shall I put this....rather well-endowed for a rubber doll... Usually, my brother's acts of vandalism triggered shrieks of anger... but on this one occasion, I think the outcome was more like hoots of laughter over the "secret life" of the rubber leprechaun.... Incidentally, I saw the same little guy in a joke shop a few years later.. minus the leprechaun costume... Guess it was just cheaper to use the same molds for both leprechauns and X-Rated joke shop dolls... All a matter "pure economics" don't you know.... (-:

BTW... Independence Day... Rated: 1/2 a crocodile tail...
(Perhaps a "movie review" thread would be an excellent idea for a new thread...yeah right... just what we need... ANOTHER thread...).

Hmmm.... Howard's End.... Maybe I should dig that one out...

Webpage... black and yellow... Ewwwwhhh...how yucky....
