All I know about Alien is that they had a time lead in Gen 2 tags which is being closed, they are racking up unsustainable operating losses and cut their latest deal with Wal-Mart at a big loss, they're a technology laggard to every Rapid-Start licensee, and they're suddenly and unilaterally litigating against the strongest player in the industry in the middle of their own IPO...the same case which Symbol Technologies, clearly a much stronger company, abandoned months ago.

They sound quite desperate to me.
