Mr Dave Yenne,
I have patiently read through your postings on every occasion
the ones concerning Red Brick. You have had nothing good to say
about Red Brick ever. REDB has a technology lead of 12-18 months
on SYBASE (the company you work for), ORACLE, INFORMIX, DB2 etc.,
In the DATA WAREHOUSING arena they have been the first to come up
with every possible technology breakthrough. First 64 bit warehouse,
all of the advanced indexing stuff, and yesterdays "Life cycle aggregates", built in DATA MINING are just a few of them.
They just happened to have one poor quarter (the last one) because of poor sales execution. That does not make the technology
poor. They will continue to surpass you guys as far as technology
is concerned. Execution of sales is another thing (maybe everything).
That is why bad products most times appear good when they can sell them.
If you want to discuss technical stuff on this thread have the
facts correct and get down to the technical details. Don't gloss over
REDB's acheivements as though it is trash. It is the most scalable high performance relational database for DW on the market. Do not mislead the investment community by constantly mentioning "IMO". Your
opinions are not humble and are very mean and misleading directed at REDB. Please look at every posting you have made about REDB. You
have not made the public more knowledgeable about DW through your postings.
I am writing this after a lot of thought and could have sent
you a mail directly but wanted the readers of this thread to be aware
and not mislead. This thread is about sharing opinions between investors so that they can be profitable. It is not about attacking
the products of other companies and waging wars between competing companies especially if you don't know the details.
I will not post anymore on this topic or reply to your postings and appologize if you find my comments rude and out of line. I had
to write this once.
