Good question. What is the real story? I've been gone for a month so I've been able to get some distance from the board and the "news" listed here. I remembered a few conflicting statements so I went back and started at the beginning and re-read the posts. Post #38 back around 8/8/96 had a news release in it. "NVID introduces Microsafe and is currently negotiating with two Fortune 500 companies."
Post #44 had a news release dated 7/19/96. "NVID's non-toxic disinfectant is in it's final stage of preparation for USDA testing." An 8/7/96 news release stated, "USDA testing will begin within 30 days."

20) Person doing testing of Microsafe is so well known and respected that his involvement will likely lead to fast tracking and reduced expense at USDA.
Post #61 Appointment of outside board alluded to.
Post #65 Rumor had it that Occidental Petroleum and Bristol Myers Squibb were the two companies interested in Microsafe.
Post #68 By 9/13/96 the 2 Fortune 500 companies had fallen on hard times and were reduced to Fortune 200 companies (probably Fortune 100 companies).
So, as for the real story . . . Well, we may know some day, but until then it may be a good idea to call Mr. Bunte and talk to him yourself about your concerns and some of the "news" that has been released.
If you still believe in the company and hold stock you could buy more or hold what you have. If you no longer believe in the company and the "news" you could hold the stock you have and pray for it to be wonderful. Or you could sell what stock you hold and look for another miracle.
By the way, I do own quite a bit of NVID stock. I am holding it. I have talked to Mr. Bunte, but I'm holding the stock anyway. Why? I just hate to admit that I may have been wrong and "Hope springs eternal in the heart of man."
Good luck to each of you, my fellow investors. May we all find the patience and courage to see this through to something we'll be happy about.

James
