I've thought about it, and will go with Harrison Roth's opinion over yours.

Frank, even though you write that you thought about it, you are not thinking correctly. So, think again.

If you think that Covered Short Strangle should be done in a very bullish environment as suggested by Harrison Roth, then again you are not thinking.

Harrison Roth's book is excellent but you have to be critical. There could be a typo.

But if you use Harrison Roth's quote to suggest selling a Covered Call (one half of the CSS) in a very bullish environment, you are doing a disservice to the thread.

Frank, better be humble and try to learn from many sources, be critical of what is written. And if Put is a complicated concept for you, be willing sit in the front row and learn, and learn and learn. Only then you will be able to think and analyze. Learning does not stop until a person is 6 feet under.

Good Luck to All.
