Collectivisation with the soviet farming system took the Russians into periods of low productivity and low harvests resulted in millions of deaths from starvation.

A large percentage of the food produced in the USSR at that time was from small gardens planted throughout the USSR. The gardeners would hide the produce in root cellars dug in the forest and covered with brush. Income was produced for the gardeners and large segments of population were saved from hunger by these illegal gardeners.

Here we are in the new millennium and Monsanto ties seed availability to long term contracts which tie the farmers to corporate collectivisation. Government subsidies reward large corporate systems that promote collectivisation of land and resources.

Is famine soon to follow this model that has been proven to not work? If I am paid a salary no matter what my production is what is the incentive? Do I care if you are hungry if my incentive to produce is gone?

Societies controllers cannot accept the fact that individual advancement is the key to happiness and freedom in a society. The greed and hubris of that mentality will lead you and I to suffer the fact that their system is doomed to fail.

Let me be to succeed or fail and I will try like hell to make the former happen. Give me everything I need and I will lay down and take a nap.

How hard is that to understand? Apparently very hard......

thanks for that anecdotal.
