James,
When you talk about white and black and slavery you are talking about american slavery of the african people here. But that is an extremely small slice of the slavery in history in general. It certainly gets a disproportionate amount of attention considering it's small part in overall history. America as a country has already paid a huge price for that sin. It's really not a white black issue (slavery) but a powerful over the powerless issue. We are the weak and powerless today who are enslaved to the rich and powerful and their plans for the world which we have no say in and cannot prevent from coming about. In that respect we are every bit the victims of a slave/master social structure as the blacks were 150 years ago. It's just (so far) less painful and obvious.
