LU and Alcatel possible merger/acquisition. Alcatel would be the buyer if it's a buy-out. Makes sense though just a rumor so far. NOK was also in the running for LU 2-3 months back as you remember. Or was that just a rumor too? Now that it's broken into parts LU is easier to swallow whole. Or, they may just sell their optics business but for significantly more than was feared last month. Corning just released good numbers so that adds to the value more. My target of $14 for LU isn't far off now. Already a double from the bottom.

WCOM is puzzling why it still isn't rallying. No special problems. Sometimes a stock just temporarily gets left behind. Or is someone keeping it down for some reason. Wall Street liked the numbers and no pop yet. But I'm still confident. Target $25-35 this year (short-long term) and spin-off, buy-out, merger whatever, unlocking value. Tremendous value there. Only half the company is priced into the stock say analysts (LD or internet backbone)
