I agree with Kurt about better security with iOS. Another plus is that Apple provides users with updates to their iOS, while Android phone users must buy new phones to get updated operating systems.

Apple values its users' privacy, which is a double edged sword. I like this emphasis on our privacy, but one downside is that Apple learns less from its base than a company like Google does from its customer base as a result of this respect.
