"Each side of a legal dispute wants to expose only the truth that benefits it's side of the case."

In the court system, the counselors/lawyers (officers of the court) are bound by some ethics to seek truth and justice no matter which side of a case they represent; and even if their client is a fraud. The Court it self is of course bound to a high standard of truth seeking and justice as well.

Maybe one of the lawyers who posts here could comment on that.
