Solar is going to bury new coal plants, and it is already starting.

Solar and wind will always be "supplimental" sources. They can never be "base" sources. You must always have enough Coal, gas, oil, hydro or nuclear to take care of all power needed 24/7/365.

So no use getting too excited about sunbeams and windmills.
