Hezbollah Thwarts Planned Palestinian Attacks on Israel?
By Daniel Freedman on Middle East

"Hezbollah reportedly has thwarted planned Palestinian attacks on Israel," the JTA reports.

Sultan Abu al-Einin, the Fatah movement's secretary-general in Lebanon, told the Nazareth-based newspaper Kul al-Arab that four attacks Palestinians in Lebanon planned to carry out along Israel's northern border had been blocked by Hezbollah, which engaged Israel in a war this summer that proved devastating for Lebanon.

Very strange, especially considering what we reported yesterday -- that Hezbollah is paying Palestinian terrorist groups thousands of dollars to attack Israel.

If the JTA reports is true, we'd guess Hezbollah's problem isn't attacks against Israel, but rather attacks against Israel from Lebanon. Hezbollah is either still rebuilding from their recent war against Israel and is not ready for another Israeli invasion, or Hezbollah doesn't want to face the backlash from the Lebanese people who don't want another Israeli invasion. Instead they're happy letting the Palestinian terrorist groups do their dirty work -- just not on Hezbollah territory.
