i don't know of any reason that intel would not pay the royalties to armhy for strongarm. i am curious as to why it even came up. i got excited when i found out the new postage stamp size gps chip uses an armhy core. this means the next generation cell phones will have two armhy based chips. lots of other uses as well. i read that the new cell phones will use 8mb of memory. would love to see a single rambus part fill that need. unclewest i have been pretty quiet on this one as i have continued to buy. my armhy truck is now full so i will commence posting info as i find it. hopefully others will too.
