Although by family heritage I am not a Jew,(as I said before i am Dutch, German, English I think) I agree with your statement.
What I believe is that when God looks at me He sees Jesus. Why? Because I am Dutch German English? No, but because of the Promise I am saved by the Blood of the Lamb.
Alan, I still believe you would do well to forgive the man that attacked you and your family.(of course i am saying that not knowing if i could, mind you since i have not been in that position.)
(Mat 5:11 NIV) "Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.
(Mat 5:43-45 NIV) "You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven.
I do not believe there are many here who would disagree with that, although in practice it is very hard to do. But nothing is impossible with God.
