I just tried AGAIN... not the first or last time over the past 20 years for this person... that a SPLIT does NOTHING for a stock but make it easier for the unsophisticated to buy which include
  • Those who like "cheaper stocks"
  • Those who don't understand market cap and fractional shares
  • Those who can't buy fractional shares via employee stock plans
  • Those who want to sell or buy options and not mortgage the house to raise capital to cover a margin call.
Otherwise, they are usually short term selling signals....

"so, if I can get this price today, should I wait or pay more since it is higher today..."

She has a ~ 5x gain already for NVDA so my "advice" was to sell her cost basis here at $1198 to use to buy back if it crashes...

There is the old saying you can lead a horse to water, but can't make it drink...
