Trading will be halted [News] New York: (DOW News) -- Trading will be halted for the day if the Dow Average drops another 200 points, or a total of 550 points. Trading resumes at 3:05 PM. A loss of 550 points would result in a one hour trading halt since trading will resume with less than an hour to go. A 550 point will shut the stock exchanges down for the day. Trading would then resume Tuesday at 09:30 AM EST. All exchanges, as well as the NASDAQ market, recognize the halt. DOW News
