Oh God in Heaven.. we are but clay..look upon us with tender heart. Things like this are very hard... We always pray oh God that you should be glorified in letting us go free... to spare his wife and children the pain of loosing their beloved father.. However You have shown us in your word we as children of the most high GOD and must admit that thou may save us from the fiery furnace of persecution but thou may not... Indeed by faith we receive both the good and the bad from Thy Great Hand ! Help us OH God even as you had sent an angel to strengthen Jesus in the garden to accept thy will in all things. Help this man who has sought to serve you who now is truly tempted of the evil one who says " where is his God now... let him see if he should save him." Help Jim Oh God to see even Jesus in the hours of this trial. In the mistreatings.. in the hate of those who hated thee first. Help Him to thank you that you have given him the gift of sharing in your sufferings to see the unspeakable gift in newness of light and glory and give him the gift of thankfulness in all things. BE with Jim and help his family to be still and know that you are GOD ! Help him to look to those who have tread this path before him even to be slain as a sheep to slaughter. To stand in the day of evil and to glory in knowing you above the charm of this world. Amen.
