This is another reason the rightwing murdered Kennedy, because he would have ended the Cold War.

In reality, Kennedy was an anti-communist who committed US troops to Viet Nam. He broke the Soviet blockade of Berlin and threatened war to get the Soviets to pull missilies out of Cuba.
