Kerry is right that those programs need FIXING. It doesn't mean he's black/white against or for, or ever changed his mind, it's that they are rushed, flawed policies which have proven to need fixing.

Bush's education, health care, Patriot Act and Iraq War powers were all pushed and rushed through congress. So was the 87 billion spending bill. No one was given time to debate or read the fine print. Often the rightwing will force a vote before anyone's had a chance to even read the bill. It's very dishonest and results in flawed bills.

Yet when Kerry does the right thing and votes against one of the bills, the rightwing attacks him on this. SO it's the rightwing's fault. The right doesn't want government to be honest and careful. It wants to push through Trojan Horse programs full of goodies and pork for themselves.
This is why we need to get rid of both Bush and DElay. This BS has to stop.

PS: Thank God for McCain stopping Bush's energy bill. Talk about pork.
