Tony,

That was hardly kicking them when they are down. Just an innocent thought with a simple investment idea tagged to it. I try not to post too much at the cyrix board. They don't want to hear anything that doesn't agree with how they feel anyway.

Who wants to place some bets on a cyrix buyout deal. As i see things, Micron Technology (MU) may strike a deal to buy Cyrix. Steve Appleton seems to want out of the DRAM business or at least diversify into the CPU market. Cyrix would get a Fab and Micron would get a high margin product. Micron also recently won shareholders approval to issue additional shares. This could be used to tweak up the equipment and to finish up their other Fab plant. I wouldn't expect Micron to offer more than .50 shares of MU for each share of CYRX. This is just my opinion and i have no idea what Cyrixs' management has swirling inside their heads. They are certainly unpredictable. I have no time frame for when such a deal would be struck (if at all), but now would be as good a time as any for Micron. I'd be very interested in hearing what other people think about these two companies teaming up or other match ups that would be better. Personally, i'd like to see cyrix not be bought out and just fade away.
