One of the best books I have ever read is "Trading for a Living" by Alexander Elder. As a psychologist and a trader he spends a lot of time talking about the psychological as well as the practical aspects of trading. My profits in my momentum and position trading have really improved. Oh, and by the way, the NASD has a great training game on their website! It is called "Head Trader" and in the game you are a market maker competing against 5 other computerized market makers. Not only has it helped me to learn the basics or reading a level II screen but it has also given me a lot of insight as to how market makers really work... and best of all, it's free, and it runs 24 hours a day... nasd.com
