Jeff, that sounds strange since Ampex has for the most part, sold its magnetic-tape division in the last year. Additionally, I have to wonder how the Ampex folks, who have sold-off much of their real property and are ready to move ahead with a shelf-offering to pay for research, can afford to purchase anything, much less an entire division from 3M. Can anyone else comment on Jeff's recent discovery?
