More unreliability from America OFFline:

--
"MORE OUTAGES FOR AOL: AOL members trying to log on between about 6:00 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday couldn't get on. Members already on during the time were not affected. Between the previous outages and reports from GNN members (AOL's Internet service) that mail was out for over 3 days, AOL still has a ways to go on the reliability front."

- from Seidman's Online Insider - Vol. 3, Issue 36, September 27, 1996

Mr. Seidman also reports that AOL cannot hope to meet its wildly optimistic subscriber targets without massive price reductions. But with that type of pricing reform they cannot hope to make a profit. Remember this stock is one of the most hype driven of recent memory. When the gas starts to be let out, and it will, expect a massive correction.
