Article in S.F. Chronicle (10.2.00) notes decrease in VC funding for dot-com's. Continues with, "As investors shifted their investment focus, health care companies enjoyed a record quarter, raising $1.6 billion in 126 deals. Biopharmaceuticals companies raised a record $663.6 million, almost 25 percent more than the second quarter". Which leads me to wonder, how investors may shift their focus to biotechs. At what point will managers of growth funds make serious commitments to biotech. FWIW, I heard that mutual funds cash positions are at the highest levels since 11.98.
