John F, I agree. Anyone who can't see the trend by now, just isn't looking. MMX (and future refinments of this type of technology) will eliminate the need for graphics chips. Someday Flash memory may eliminate the need for hard drives. Flash cards eliminate the need for external drives (ZIP or whatever else is around then). Now this built in modem feature (and future refinments to it) eliminate the need for a seperate modem. They already own the motherboard and CPU real estate inside the computer. What's next? This is just my opinion and in no way represents Intel Corporations intentions (for John Hull). nate.
