Hello Peter

I have little doubt that I have anything to do with that. They are a pretty committed and hard working group.

Found this for what its worth:

United Nations Security Council Extends UN Presence for One Month
Wire Sources on August 14, 1998
The United Nations Security Council yesterday passed a resolution, which strongly deplores the recent fighting in Angola and held UNITA responsible. The Security Council said problems in Angola were caused by the failure of UNITA to live up to its obligations under the Lusaka protocol. The Council "demands that UNITA comply immediately and without conditions with its obligations" under previously signed accords.

In addition, the Security Council extended the mandate for the United Nations military observers in Angola by one month. The UN force will remain in Angola until September 15, 1998. The resolution also calls on United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan to report to the Security Council by the end of August on the future role of the United Nations in Angola.

According to Slovenia's Ambassador to the United Nations Danilo Turk, ''the situation is particularly grim as over 1 million people are now internally displaced due to the derailment of the peace process. There is little doubt that UNITA bears the brunt of the responsibility for this lamentable state of affairs.''
