Hi KT, I used to be in the gambling business, in a small way, once upon a time.

When customers started coming out with these type of statements, I would usually advise some sort of "time out" and a reassessment of the risks involved.

"We are well aware of the risks to our balance sheet. We never meant to do this. But unusual circumstances call for unusual measures."

Quite true of course. The idea of doing nothing and failing completely is no plan of action at all. At the same time, one has to sit back and wonder what was done wrong in the first place... to prevent repetition...imho.

Too many losses, even amongst punters in the gambling business, is no good for anyone. Business has to be sustainable over the long run.
