Come to think of it, maybe going out and getting a high-def unit so that I could enjoy a good concert or theatrical performance in their truest forms isn't such a bad idea, after all.

Sound is more important than picture, but the high-def is astounding. Until this weekend, I had not seen Golf in HD. My normal picture on TGC is really good, but the resolution of the scene at the Par 3 16th from Scottsdale over the weekend was so good it was almost 3D. Watching any kind of movie is a theatre experience.

Yes, the Superbowl was excellent in it. I could count the raindrops. :>)

If you do get it, adjust your picture for your home. The sets come "store-ready," too bright and contrasty. You will find that if you set the contrast down a little, and turn the picture to "warm," it is much better.

Sets are dirt-cheap now.
