I find your list of running tasks truly amazing. I don’t have a clue what most of them do. I’ll share with you what runs on my system.

Explorer – Windows’ shell
Syntpenh – Laptop touchpad enhancement. Found on Laptops.
AtiTask – A video enhancement for an ATI video card
Systray – Holds the on-screen clock and other icons.
Syntplpr – Laptop touchpad enhancement. Found on Laptops.
Aticwd32 – An ATI keyboard enhancement
Rnaapp – Remote Network Access Application (For Dial-up)

I only really need Explorer. Everything else is optional. My system runs fine with them disabled. However, I’m fond of my touchpad’s scrolling, so I keep the Syntp??? Stuff going.

It seems that once I dial-up a connection, Rnaapp continues. I can close it manually.

I don’t see any harm in unchecking all programs at start up. Your system will boot, and you can experiment to determine which, if any, offer functionality you want to keep.

For the unknown items, enter their name into on-line search engines. You’ll soon discover what they are and what to do with them.

Power profile executes twice. Each time, different work gets performed. Two entries are normal.
