re: Yes, but I am interested in a life with certain critical attributes, of the kind we've seen altered lately. So posting here is not entirely pointless. It helps in two ways...1) validates one's thinking and 2) helps one to better understand a conservative perspective.

I like to post here because it forces me to think things through. If there is a glitch in my logic chain, sure as hell one of these guys will find it. And they are doing me a service.

But on 2), I think I understand the conservative perspective. It's the neo-conservative perspective that I'm starting to understand.

The scary part is that folks that have probably been traditional conservatives for a long time seem to be blindly buying into the neo doctrine. Even though the neo stuff is anything but traditional conservative. It's actually more foreign to conservative thinking than it is to liberal thinking. Scares me.
