Many investors think BEAR IS DEAD -->

14:00 ET Dow +28, Nasdaq +62, S&P +8.70: [BRIEFING.COM] Many investors are beginning to sense that the bear market may be
history at this point. Not long ago, the bear made the cover of U.S News & World Report, Newsweek and Time magazines. Main stream
media coverage of the bear is considered a bullish indicator and since then the markets have turned higher. The question at this point is
whether the recent market rallies are a genuine turn in sentiment or simply represent a "bear market trap". Breifing.com contends that we've
seen the worst on the corporate earnings front and that investor expectations have been sufficiently guided lower. With the Fed easing rates
aggressively to stimulate growth, the second half of the year should constitute a more accomodating business environment. Promising
economic data are contributing to the day's upwards bias as Conumer Income and Spending both came in stronger than expected.
Tomorrow the markets will be watching the National Association of Purchasing Managers index (NAPM) as yet another read on domestic
economic health. For a complete list of what to watch on the economic front, please visit Briefing.com's Economic Calendar. DJTA
