Well I'm back from the conference, but unfortunately was unable to speak with John Walber personally as he left shortly after giving his presentation. Here are some of the highlights:

- As of March 31, CVUS has 15,000 subscribers divided between internet service and video. The breakdown was not given.

- They currently offer 48Mbs internet access after a successful 500Kbps service launch.

- The modulation scheme that they primarily use is FM vs. QPSK. The apparent reason for FM is that it is more friendly to "bounced" signals vs. line of sight which allows them to serve more customers. The drawback is the limited data rates.

- CVUS uses a lot leased fiber to their hub sites. the leases are flexible and relatively cheap.

- Their next phase is the deployment of two way services including voice (telephony) and 2-way video services. No timeline was provided.

JW commented on the value of the market he has for providing businesses not just in Manhattan, but also in the Bronx and Queens, with high bandwidth services.

I'll try to go through my notes in more detail on Monday and post anything that I've missed.

John
