Paul, Personally, I view this move by Gateway as pretty neutral and unimportant. Since they get these programs pretty darn cheap, it should have little effect on earnings. However, they are kidding themselves if they think that consumers actually care if they are getting this upgrade. Realistically, people are not going to buy their computer based on this deal. I am not sure what is going on with the IOMG-GATE deal. What I heard was not just a rumor (refer to my last post about Zip and Jaz drives available through GATE). Several people on the thread reportedly called the Gateway service epartment. They got a range of answers from I can't tell you, to yes, we'll definitely have them on sale by Monday (today). If you hear anything about this, please let me know. -Brian
