Most Middle east experts claim that the Sunni. Shia and Kurds will have a civil war as soon as we leave................if it takes one year or ten the end result will be the same....civil war. Why waste the lives of more soldiers?...........we need to leave quickly. During Vietnam we heard people say that we can't leave because the men that already died will have died in vain...........so we allowed thousands more to die before the politicians admitted the war was foolhearty and brought our troops out. In the end we picked up and left. If someone had admitted it earlier, we would have saved the lives of all those men. How many more Vietnams will we have to endure before we "get it". Some leader has to be strong and start the process. It will be political suicide for the first politicians who suggest it so I don't expect too many to stand up to the plate. The men that are dying today are dying for a politicians ego , "face", and electibility. SOoner or later someone will have to ask another to be the last man to die for a lost cause.
