Police are on the lookout for a French army deserter known as a skilled marksman who failed to return to his military academy in Brittany after a vacation in Canada and the United States.

IMO, the sniper is not a skilled marksman. Decades ago was the last time I shot with 5.56mm, I hit 100% of my pop-up head targets at 300 meters, and without a scope.
