Hi Larry: As I am new at this I have been reading and trying to see what works. A lot of pros will tell you "never average down". Of course that probably assumes that they were smart enough to get out with a small loss in the first place. I have done well averaging down, and got burned so not sure what works, but am now taking the approach that with day trades I get out on the first sign of trouble, and with intermediate investments I will limit myself to a 8-10% loss. Get out and reevaluate. I just got a dsl line installed, bought a faster PC, and am trying out a level 11 service. Just not sure that I want to get that involved. I am 75 cash right now and trying to figure out which way to go. One thing I have learned is that there is always another day and another opportunity. No need to ever rush.

Are you still in VIAS? You chastised me for getting out at 6 1/2 or so. Hate to buy stocks that appear to be going nowhere, but they do have a pile of cash to work with?? TIA for your thoughts.
